Educational Background

God gives to each of His children abilities to perform service to Him.  Although would like the ability to sing beautifully or play the piano or other musical instruments wonderfully, God has chosen teaching for me.  As a young girl, I was interested in elementary education.  Some of this desire stemmed from my mom, who has been in education for years (she would not want me to date her!).  I have also always enjoyed "little people"  as they are quite amusing.  So, my career of being a teacher started.  I taught here and there in Sunday school, a few times in my Christian school, to youth girls, and even a few times before adult audiences as a young person.

My formal schooling was done at an accredited Bible college where I graduated with honors with a Bachelor of Science degree.  When I graduated I had 168 credit hours.  That was enough to receive a Master's Degree in many secular colleges.  My major was elementary education with a history minor and a Bible minor.

Since college, I have spoken to many ladies groups.  Although these meetings have not been about homeschooling, I have had the opportunity to help many homeschool moms across the country.  I am in my seventh year of homeschooling with four students/grades this year.

Believe me, I do not have all the answers to homeschooling.  But it is my heart's desire to share with homeschool moms the things that I have learned along the way.  I hope that the tips I share on my website will make your homeschool both more enjoyable and profitable.  If I can be of any further help to you, please feel free to contact me at any time.

I will be praying that you will have a happy homeschool experience with your children this year.   ~Jodi
